Valerie Viegas is a valuable member of our firm’s staff working as a paralegal in our Estates and Trusts department.
From Goa, India, Valerie literally brings a world of experience to Reed Mawhinney & Link. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature as well as her general law degree, and family law degree from Goa University. Valerie is admitted to the Bar of Goa and Maharashtra in India. In her professional career, she has practiced as an attorney in India, a law clerk at St. John Hospital and Medical System in Detroit, Michigan, an instructor within the Food and Wine Division of Whatcom Community College in Bellingham, Washington, and as a substitute teacher for the Polk County School District. Our firm was thankful to add her to our team in 2016.
Valerie is also committed to improving our community. She is an approved volunteer for the Polk County School District, dedicating much of her time to serving as a member of the advisory councils for both the Medical Academy and Digital Technology at George Jenkins High School. She is also a member of the school’s School Advisory Council and Academic Booster Club. Valerie also enjoys cooking, photography, and reading.
