Kemp Brinson is a practical, solution-driven employment law and general business litigation attorney. He was a Park Scholar at North Carlina State University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Electrical Engineering in 2001. He received his law degree from The George Washington University in Washington, DC in 2004.
A native of eastern North Carolina, he has lived in Winter Haven since he was admitted to practice in 2004. He is a graduate of Leadership Winter Haven Class XXVII (2007) and Leadership Polk Class V (2012). From 2007-2020, he was on the Board of Theatre Winter Haven, serving as its Chairman for several years. He has also served his community as a board member of Main Street Winter Haven and as co-chair of the City of Winter Haven Citizens’ Efficiency Committee in 2013. He currently serves as Vice-Chairman of the Board of Central Florida Heath Care, a non-profit community health center serving tens of thousands people in Polk, Highlands, and Hardee counties.
Kemp serves as the Special Magistrate for the City of Haines City.

Kemp was honored to be named the 10th Circuit Guardian ad Litem of the Year in 2011. He was recognized as a recipient of the Polk County Emerging Leader Award in 2012 and received the Florida Bar Pro Bono Service Award for the 10th Judicial Circuit at a ceremony before the Florida Supreme Court in 2013.
He is admitted to practice before all state courts in Florida, the United States District Courts for the Middle and Southern Districts of Florida, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
He is married to Sara, a talented theatre actor, director, and choreographer, and he has a teenage daughter who also enjoys theatre. He enjoys playing bass guitar and double bass for community theatre productions at Theatre Winter Haven.
Kemp speaks intermediate Spanish and is making steady progress.
