Firm Announces New Partner, New Name

The law firm of Reed & Mawhinney, P.L. is pleased to announce William T. Link, Jr. has been admitted as a partner.  Will has practiced law in Lakeland for more than 11 years with a focus on real estate and business transactions.  The firm, now known as Reed, Mawhinney & Link, PLLC, offers transaction and litigation services in the areas of real estate, business, estates, trusts and probate.

Will is a native Floridian admitted to the Florida Bar (2004). Will graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida with degrees in economics (2000) and political science (2000) and graduated Cum Laude from the Levin College of Law at the University of Florida with a Juris Doctorate (2004).

Will is also dedicated to serving the community through his involvement with various community organizations. Will served as golf tournament chairman (2009 and 2011), Secretary (2009-2010), Vice President (2011-2012) and President (2013-2014) of the board of directors for Explorations V Children’s Museum. He also was Chairperson (2013) for EMERGE Lakeland, a young professionals group dedicated to the development and retention of young professionals in Lakeland, Florida. In 2015, Will was the recipient of a Polk Emerging Leaders Award, an honor bestowed annually on individuals who are positively impacting Polk County in their professional and personal lives. Will and his wife, Andrea, won the 2015 Lakeland Derby Leaders of Lakeland Race.

Will is a graduate of Leadership Lakeland Class XXXI (2013-2014).

Will and Andrea have one daughter, Audrey. Will and his family are active parishioners of Church of The Resurrection Catholic Church where Will serves as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Andrea serves as a Lector, and Audrey acts as an Altar Server.
